It’s that time again! If it’s August, it must be time for the Renaissance Faire!
The husband and I worked the Seven Meadows archery booth again this year, me barking and ticket taking and him instructing. But guess what? 12 months can make a big difference!
Last year: 7 months pregnant, hot as Hades, and doing my best not to swell up, dry out, or melt down!
This year: Much cooler, back in my beautiful corset (which I only get to wear a few times a year!) and …. a 10 month old baby on the loose!
LittleBird behaved beautifully! She was so happy riding in her backpack while I barked, playing in her little babycage behind the counter, and crawling around in the scattered hay, making friends with fox puppets and pugs and toddlers in fairy wings. (Technically, only the toddlers were in wings, but you never know what you’ll find at Faire!)
We’re working again next weekend, and hoping to bring LittleBird for one of the days again… but not both! She was so excited, the child only slept for ONE HOUR between 8am and 8pm! No meltdowns this time, but I’m not about to push our luck…
